First Things First

It doesn’t matter if this will be your first or hundredth project, the process is the same: line up all the tasks, then check them off, step-by-step. The trick is to know what the tasks are, to recognize the ones needing immediate attention, and to realize whether or not they’re being handled correctly and at the right time. Though it may be a whole house or a tiny addition, will help you get all the steps in the right order.

Here are the basic steps.

  1. Learn from the experience of others. Read the e-book IF I’D KNOWN THAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN I BUILT MY HOUSE, I MIGHT’VE GONE CAMPING INSTEAD.
  2. Apply the BEADS KEYSTONE (L-12 on the Home Building Timeline). There are articles about it on this HBT website. Study it carefully.
You’ll also need :
      1. Money to build with.
      2. A place to build.
      3. A plan to build.
      4. A builder to build the plan.

It’s lots of steps, but it’s all one thing. Follow the step-by-step guidance of to get everyone and the everything in the right place at the right time. You’ll be home in no time.
